The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area (BGCCA), CDPHP, SEFCU, and Brown’s Brewing Company introduce Freight Farm, an innovative new way to fight food insecurity, teach children, and generate revenue through high-tech hydroponic farming.
Freight Farm uses no pesticides and 90 percent less water than traditional farming methods. Along with teaching children about science, technology, agriculture, and commerce, the Freight Farm is a sustainable revenue source for the BGCCA. The Freight Farm was donated by SEFCU and the teen program is supported by a grant from CDPHP.
