Community bands together to sell Spaghetti and Meatballs and Silent Auction at River Street Market

In addition to the American Red Cross efforts to help 20 displaced by the fire on April 25th on 4th Street, Mazzone Hospitality and the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Region have partnered to raise funds. There will be a Spaghetti and Meatball Dinner Fundraiser Friday May 14th at the River Street Market, 433 River Street, Troy N.Y. There will also be a silent auction of items donated by several local vendors including Death Wish Coffee, Decrescente Distributing, Primo Botanica, River Street Market, (Troy Golf Course) and more.

Plates of delicious Spaghetti served with Angelo Mazzone’s Marinara sauce topped with Italian Meatballs are available for $10 each. They come with an Italian Roll and Butter, Grated Parmesan Cheese and Red Pepper Flake. Napkins and disposable cutlery are available. Tickets to the raffle are available for $5 each. They will be served for hot takeout by volunteers from Mazzone Hospitality as well as the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Region.

“We are always looking for ways to be present in our communities through philanthropy or otherwise,” said Tim Vennard, Vice President of Mazzone Hospitality. “This one just hits a little closer to home as it affected one of our own employees.” “Helping get families of kids back on their feet so they can be successful is a priority for our club,” said Justin Rueter of BGCCA. “We are glad to partner with the community to make this turnaround quickly after this local disaster.”
