What exactly is the Boys & Girls Club?Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow – all while having fun. It is the place where great futures are started each and every day. In many community, youth are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them. Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of youth by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow – all while having fun. It is the place where great futures are started each and every day.

What are the hours of operation?Our office hours are between 9am-5pm. Please call (518) 462-5528 for specific times pertaining to your child's program.

How much does an annual membership cost?Pricies vary based on programs so please call to get specific information.

Do any of your clubs have a pool?Yes! Our Troy Clubhouse at 1700 7th Ave, Troy NY 12180 has an indoor pool!

Is the Club open during the summer?We offer several summer programming options for youth. Please call our main office at (518) 462-5528 for more information.

What is your closure policy?If an unexpected Club closure occurs (due to weather, facilities emergency, etc.), Clubs will post signs on the building doors and update the Club’s Facebook page. Please be sure that you notify Club staff of any change in emergency contact or cell phone information to ensure that you receive emergency notifications. Local television channels will also be updated for with any Club closings or delays.

Where does the Club get its funding?The Club, an independent non-profit organization, relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations who donate money as well as time, expertise and knowledge.

Do people remain connected to the Club?The Club has alums numbering in the tens of thousands, living locally and across the country. Today, many Club alums are involved in assisting the Club through service on boards and committees and through financial support. Are your financial statements available to view?Statements are also available through the office of the Attorney General of New York State. You may call their office at 212-416-8402 or visit the Website of the Attorney General of NYS. The Club gets a professional audit annually.
