We offer the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the Capital Area by working with our community youth. Mandatory criminal background checks are required every year for staff and board members. All potential employees and recurring volunteers are required to be cleared in accordance with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services regulations.

BGCCA serves youth in four core areas: Universal Pre-Kindergarten (ages 3-4), After School (ages 5-12), Summer Camp (ages 5-12), and Teens (ages 13-19). UPK roles for Albany County Schools include teachers, teacher assistants and youth development professionals. 

 

Other areas of service include our Food Program which serves approximately 200,000 meals annually; Pool operations in Troy for which we hire and certify lifeguards; Workforce Development to provide young adults options for employment; Ultimate Journey which gets youth active outdoors; and so much more! Career Launch

Free and inclusive training for young adults 16-24 looking to enter the workforce. Get PAID while learning; get your driver's license or ID; plus help obtaining transportation, supplies, tools, and more!
