BGCCA’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential to become productive, caring, responsible citizens. Youth coming into the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area are given a safe place to learn and grow, with caring adults who help to inspire and offer hope and opportunities for a brighter future.

With 18 different locations throughout the Capital Region, we are able to serve over 1,800 youth daily and over 250,000 meals annually. Our goal is to provide a quality enrichment experience that allows every child to achieve academic success, live healthy lifestyles and become good citizens within their communities.

We are so excited to announce that our very own, Miriam Montes has been selected as one of the 2021 Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders by the National AfterSchool Association (NAA)! NAA sought to highlight emerging young leaders who are active in the broader afterschool community, demonstrate contributions that have started to influence beyond individual programs to entire organizations and communities, are actively engaged in efforts to elevate the afterschool field, have a proven passion for development of themselves and others, and demonstrate persistence in their work to grow as leaders.

Miriam has been a pillar to the Albany Community and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area for over 8 years! Go Miriam!!

Thank you Dunkin' for selecting us for your Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation Grant! We cannot wait to use these funds to fuel our meal program! #WhateverItTakes

We want to give a big THANKS to CDPHP!

CDPHP supports our Freight Farm programs, Teen Night Live program, and our various events (such as dodgeball). They have also donated food and water bottles to our Summer Camp programs!

We are so appreciative of their continuous support and partnership!
