A fun visit from two unique bicycles called Book Bikes, a creation from local non-profit Grassroot Givers and project sponsor CDPHP. Book Bikes have been modified to transform into mini book displays when parked.
The inaugural ride took place on a hot day courtesy of volunteer riders Dwayne Killings, SUNY Coach, and Paul Grondahl, director of the New York State Writers Institute at the University at Albany. They rode 3.5 miles from Washington Ave to our Ezra Prentice site on South Pearl St!
Read Mr. Grondahl's article about the ride in the Times Union.

The kids each got a turn to choose a book they wanted as well as some other assorted goodies to take home. The day was capped with a cold icy pop for everyone!
Thank you to Grassroot Givers, CDPHP and to Dwayne and Paul for this extraordinary day!
