2025 Halloween Truck & Treat
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area partnered with Teamsters Local 294 for day of family friendly and spooky fun called Trunk & Treat ! Trunk & Treat is a community event geared to provide youth and families with a safe space that includes traditional Halloween elements as well as some unique additions. The event was held at the Labor Temple on 3rd Street in Albany starting at 10:00 AM. Free community shuttle transport was provided from the Albany and Troy Clubhouses. Tea

2024 Candyland
BGCCA, in partnership with Imperati Painting, LLC, hosted a winter event "Candyland" at the Albany Clubhouse on Friday, December 20.

TDFCC: Social Host Policy & Cannabis
Back in 2007, local house parties in Troy involving underage drinking, noise, and lewd behaviors surged in popularity. The Troy Drug Free Community Coalition (TDFCC) approached the City Council to remedy the problem. The efforts were successful: in 2008, the City Council amended the City Code of Ordinances by adding Chapter 130: “Community Social Host and Underage Drinking” . 2024 Art In The Park
Boys & Girls Clubs families and supporters enjoyed an Art In The Park evening with the Tri-City Valley Cats on Saturday, August 24th. Thank you to the Tri-City Valley Cats for hosting Art In The Park with BGCCA as the charity of the night. Families and supporters of The Club enjoyed the game with a BBQ dinner and plenty of high fives from Southpaw! Time to SHRED!
Ultimate Journey in partnership with the SHRED Foundation took 40 youth to Stratton Mountain in Vermont for snowboarding lessons this season. Our youth ranged in age from afterschool to teens for this multi week course which is part of the commitment upon signing up. 2022 Fashion Show
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area, in a unique partnership with Sunmark, presented a Back-to-School Fashion Show at the Crossgates Mall on September 1st, 2022. Area youth were provided gift cards to spend at the mall on this year's latest school trends. We had them show off all the goods with a little attitude in a fantastic performance.
