Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area hosted the 3rd annual Stop The Violence Rally at Dana Park on Friday, Nov. 10th.
Friday, Nov. 10th was grey and overcast, a reflection of the somber tone of the Stop The Violence Rally, now taking place for the third year. Hosted by BGCCA's Mr. David Gordon Jr, the event featured remarks from members of faith communities, Albany Police Department, Albany County DA, Equinox, NAACP, Supreem Team, The Red Bookshelf, as well as the BGCCA Board of Directors.
Performances from local youth included many forms - silent, music, spoken word and dance - each engaging and artistic in their own way.
Thank you to all community partners and volunteers who helped to make the event possible to call attention to this urgent matter. #StopTheViolence
