Each year we recognize a member of our Board of Directors with the Bob Foley Board Member Award for their commitment to our youth and the community. This year, we are honored to recognize Judge Helena Heath for her longtime dedication and service as part of the BGCCA leadership.


Judge Helena Heath was appointed Albany City Court Judge on April 22, 2005, becoming the first female of African descent to serve in this position in the City of Albany's history. She was elected in November 2005 to a full term of office and then re-elected in November 2011 and again in November 2017.


Heath has served as a member of the BGCCA Board of Directors since 2008 and has helped shape the Club's ability to reach the greater community. We salute her time, passion, loyalty and valuable expertise serving as a champion for the youth of our Capital Area.
