Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area (BGCCA) held the 5th Annual Chip-In Fore Youth Golf Tournament at Town of Colonie Golf Course on Friday, June 23, 2023. It was an incredible day of golf and interactive fun with our largest tournament to date!
Thank you to all of our golfers, volunteers and sponsors! All proceeds raised from the event go toward BGCCA youth programming.
A beautiful day at the start of summer! Presenting sponsor Death Wish Coffee was up early with reservoirs of fresh brew to get people going. Thank you to BGCCA board member Ben Houck for kicking off the event and to golf pro Noel Gebauer for laying out the rules of the day. The Lyricism 101 RV was onsite with clubhouse manager David Gordon making sure everyone had musical motivation. Golfers enjoyed traditional golf as well as interactive holes with games including soccer, t-ball, cornhole, and frisbee. The golf air cannons were especially thrilling! There were also contests for drives, putting, and hole-in-one. Lunch and dinner provided by Martel's Grill & Bar. Unique raffle items and contest awards were handed out after the Group Putting contest with remarks from CEO Justin Reuter and Chief Development Officer Pat Doyle.
