Voices from the Community
Patrick Doyle, BGCCA CEO, stated, “The South Troy Pool continues to be an incredible resource for our community. This summer, we saw hundreds of families and young people come together to swim, share meals, and build connections in a safe and welcoming environment. We’re proud to partner with the City of Troy to make this space possible and look forward to many more successful seasons ahead.”
Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello echoed these sentiments, saying, “This summer, the South Troy Pool was more than a place to swim – it was a place of safety, unity, and pride for our community. From lifesaving rescues by our lifeguards to meals served to youth, to the historic first Teen Night, the pool became a space where Troy families came together. We are so proud of the staff, partners, and organizations who made this season such a success.”

A Commitment to Safety and Community
Mayor Mantello also applauded the Boys & Girls Clubs staff and lifeguards for their partnership and commitment. She noted that the success of the season would not have been possible without their hard work and dedication.
“The numbers tell a powerful story, but what truly stands out is the spirit of community at the South Troy Pool,” Mantello added. “We look forward to building on this momentum and ensuring even more opportunities for Troy families in the years ahead.”

Gratitude to Our Partners
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area extends its gratitude to the City of Troy and all community partners for their collaboration in making the South Troy Pool a safe, enriching, and joyful space for all residents.
