2024 Juneteenth
On Thursday, June 19th, BGCCA collaborated with Men On A Mission to host concluding festivities following the Juneteenth March. The City of Albany issued a heat advisory leading to the cancellation of many outdoor activities. Boys & Girls Clubs stepped up by opening the Clubhouse and gathering a group of teens to help out for an event with more than 225 people. 2024 Women's History Tea
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area celebrated Women's History Month with a Women's History Tea at the Albany Clubhouse, 21 Delaware Ave, in the afternoon of Saturday, March 23rd, 2024. The event included guest speakers, performers and a panel discussion as well as a delicious assortment of sweet and savory treats and refreshments. Thank you to all of our participants and attendees. Stop The Violence Rally 2023
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area hosted the 3rd annual Stop The Violence Rally at Dana Park on Friday, Nov. 10th. Friday, Nov. 10th was grey and overcast, a reflection of the somber tone of the Stop The Violence Rally, now taking place for the third year. 2022 Music Festival
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area (BGCCA) hosted the 2022 Lyricism 101 Music Festival at the Albany Clubhouse on Friday, September 30. The event featured performances from Club kids and local artists as well as positive messaging and lots of delicious free food options. Video recap coming soon!
